Mayte McWilliams, NP

Mayte McWilliams, FNP-C, is ready to provide a range of primary care services for people of all ages, from newborns to seniors, at WK Internal Medicine and Pediatric Specialists. She treats everyone with compassion and respect, as if the patient is one of her own family members. Building relationships with patients allows her to learn what makes them who they are and what motivates them so care can be personalized. 

Fluent in both Spanish and English, McWilliams loves to translate for her patients to be sure they fully understand their condition and treatment plan. Education and a shared understanding are essential for people to commit to a healthy lifestyle that can result in the best outcome.  

McWilliams attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana College of Nursing. She has a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and is a certified family nurse practitioner (American Nurses Credentialing Center). She is a member of American Nurses Association and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. 

Away from the clinic, McWilliams enjoys time with her loving husband and their two daughters. Together, the family enjoys time with their cats, dogs and horses. They also like to travel to fun destinations and attend church. McWilliams loves to help others as a volunteer in her community, values she hopes to pass along to her children.
